Burn It To The Ground by RS-foto Burn It To The Ground by RS-foto
Some time ago I was photographing some old decayed villas and at the same time some kids were playing with fire and had set one of them in fire.

Got my photo on the front page of a local Metro newspaper (not this photo, but this one [link]) =)

Also check out the aftermath here [link]

Few older photos from the other villas on my other account:

Suggester says, "The artist was at the right place at the right moment. It is a very professional picture. Sad because actually the artist went there to take pictures of the villas and had to see that they were all burned down."

Did you use flash or some other way to lighten up the leaves in the foreground?

So sad that someone set the place on fire, good photo Btw, the sadness is for the idiot who set it in fire, would of liked to see what they look like not ablaze.

They were some random kids having a barbecue or bonfire near the building, which accidentally spread and got out of control =/

These are not those scenarios where you have the time to carefully set the lighting =) Luckily I had a Speedlite flash with me or the only lighting would have been the fire in the dark =)

This is a fantastic picture! There is this wonderful contrast between sharpness/fuzziness, light/dark, warms/cools, and life/death.
